Joey Purmort (Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin)

Joey was raised in Evergreen and has been involved in the roots music community for many years. He has played banjo professionally off and on for 6 years. This includes a Taiwanese folk band, Zimbabwean reggae band, gypsy jazz ensemble, and numerous bluegrass groups in Colorado. Joey has taught musicians young and old in the foothills community for many years and continues to do so today!

Nicolette Andres (Fiddle)

Colorado native Nicolette Andres is a performing violinist and Suzuki teacher. Nicolette earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA in 2015.
Since graduation, Nicolette has continued to foster her love of folk music and jazz, performing with bluegrass groups in Denver, along with musicians in the Gypsy Jazz community. She is a member of the string quartet the Nexus Ensemble, which performs classical repertoire along with rock and pop in the Denver area. Nicolette also performs with long-standing, touring Steampunk band Abney Park based in Seattle, WA. Recent performances with Abney Park include West Palm Beach, FL; Seattle, Portland, and Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia.

Nicolette learned to play the violin by the Suzuki method beginning at age five and now operates her own Suzuki studio in her hometown of Evergreen, CO. In addition, Nicolette also teaches at Boulder Suzuki Strings.
